Last day

Tomorrow's the last day for 2013! I would like to say a huge thankyou to Mr Hillary for teaching me! I would also like to say a massive thanks and we will miss you too Mia Faalilo!

   Mia has been my best friend for 8 years and I know it's not gonna stop now! Mia will be missed and I know that everyone will miss her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ICAS exams

Today I found out that I got credit in the english ICAS exam and so did my friend Mia

Reduce,Reuse and Recycle

What:I can sequence the life of a recyclable object
So What:First the glass gets collected then it gets sorted into the three different colours(clear brown and green).Then the glass is screened to make sure that there is no contamination.It gets crushed to make it easier to melt.Then the glass gets mixed with sodium bicarbonate and calcium bicarbonate.Then the glass gets heated to 1000'C and then it gets moulded into a new bottle. Finally the glass is sold. Now What:I wonder how they get the machines and how much power they take to run?

Today we had swimming and the astle reading test I had to do level 5 and it was hard to read but the questions were easy.Tomorrow is book day and me and mia are going as thing 1 and thing 2 and sophies going as the cat in the hat.

At the moment it is the holidays and I went to see monsters university ot was a really good movie I have also been making lots of stuff.My favourite part of the holidays has been sleeping in till 10:30 and staying in my pyjamas all day.

What:Read an article about an animal and identify the BIG IDEA.                              So What:In the article about the great white shark the big idea was that cage diving with sharks is a good way to get up close with sharks                                  Now What:A question I have now is what would happen if the shark broke the cage?

25.6.13

Today we didn't really do anything different except for half of the class was doing a blog task and the other half was playing games or finishing of stuff and then we swapped.Currently I have 14168 points on mathletics and I am ranked 13th in the world and 4th in New Zealand.Our class is ranked 17th in New Zealand.

24.6.13

Today was a usual monday we had school assembly and during assembly I saw a spider on the ground it wasn't that big and Mrs Mcleod got it outside and today was a nice day except for in the morning when it was minus 4.I am currently ranked 13th in NZ on mathletics I have 7057 points today.I am ranked 30th in the world.

Today is the weekend and so far this week I have 3712 points on mathletics!Our class is ranked 31 in the world which is really good and we are ranked 7th in New Zealand which is also really good.Mathletics is really good for learning maths it has helped me alot and I hope this carries on next year.

Today when I got to it was snowing and we couldn't do fitness outside so we did jump jam and we had to stay inside all day we played top trumps at morning tea and in the afternoon we did some art and a activity on our topic live it up and then the bell rang so I went home!

Today when I got to school it was raining so we spent the day inside in the morning I did some filming for news crew and in the afternoon we did art.

Today it was a horrible cold day.Today we had the I.C.A.S test it was the writing one and I think I did quite good and I tried my best.We also had kauri assembly and then school was over so I went home:)

friday the 14th

Today at school  it was finish off friday.I did my animal report poster and I also did my Orana Park activity,then it was time for winter sport I am in the netball A team and today we were versing Fendalton A and we lost 15-2.

So what:I think I did well because I set the boundaries and I did the big shapes first.I also did well because I held the pencil correctly.

learning on the 26th

today we had a reliever instead of our normal teacher we had to do a telly chart of conflict in the playground. I also had choir today and it was really fun!!!

learning on monday the 25th

today we learned about how to email stuff to our blog and what email to use. We also did the astle reading test I was the only one in my class with level four. I had the hardest one to do!!!!!!It was extremly hard but I  tried my best.i was the only one in my class with stanine 9 in the star test I got the highest score you can get yay. I am so proud of myself !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
